Rock hunting field trips are organized during the spring and summer, weather permitting.  Club membership is of particular interest to those individuals with an interest in the earth sciences and lapidary work.

The club provides a lapidary workshop along with instructions to all members.  New members are allowed to attend two workshop sessions.  Club members may wish to continue using the shop  for $5/night or buy a pass for $50 for 12 sessions. This fee allows the member to use the shop once per week form 7:00 - 9:30 pm.  Particiants are expected to work safely and clean the shop at the end of the evening.

The club also holds seminars and workshops on various subjects related to the hobby. The fees for this vary depending on the subject being presented and materials being used.
